During the course of my blogging life I have had the privilege of meeting many people online who I can proudly call friends.

Many of them I have never even met, like Pete my buddy from the UK. He has given me a lot of help over the years with all my blogs and because of that, I value his time very much and am always willing to give him a little something back.

I was complaining to a friend the other day about not being able to get to sleep. (Due to my commitments I have some fairly irregular sleeping patterns.)

Every night I was lying awake for an hour thinking about the world. And thinking about how I wasn’t asleep yet.

He passed me a tip that he in turn received from an Occupational Therapist.

Switch your pillow and bedclothes around so you are sleeping at the opposite end of the bed. He said this works for 2-3 weeks.

I remembered his advice after turning over my pillow once again because it was getting too hot. I switched the bed clothes, pillow, lay down… and then woke up in the morning. Bliss.

I’ve just been reading about the power of stem cells.

I had no idea that so much could be done with them or that you could even harvest your own stem cells. In the case of women, they can be harvested from your own menstrual blood. That sounds a bit (ok, a lot) icky but I think once you hear the health benefits you won’t be so worried.

The way it works is stem cells can be saved from the blood using special kits from C’elle, a company that specializes in this area. The cells will be cryo-preserved for future potential medical treatment. They can generate into neural, bone fat, cardiac, cartilage and other types of cells, giving them a high potential to be used in regenerative therapy should they need to be used later on in life.

Unfortunately I’m not a woman or I would really consider this, because there’s nothing more important than health, you know? I’m not sure you can put a price on health. Cleaning silver is easy using some aluminium, salt, baking soda, hot water and a baking pan.

Take the baking pan and lay out some aluminium foil on the bottom. Lay out the silver utensils on this.

Then, dissolve a couple of tea-spoons of salt in the hot water. Mix a cup of baking soda into the hot water.

Then, pour this mix over the silver. You’ll need enough to completely cover the utensils. It should polish it beautifully, the gunk transferring to the foil. I don’t quite understand the science behind this but if it works…

Ok, all the websites are travelling quite well right now.

I’m happy to say that I have been expanding my online presence to make money in different ways. I’m trying as hard as I can to build a defensible income.

Social media is a hot topic right now, actually it has been a hot topic for a few years because it’s something that’s not going to go away. They are the company that runs Pay Per Post, who I do some paid blogging for, and they also own Social Spark, who I have done one post here before as well! So how have I been able to make money blogging from them?

It’s because they have a bunch of advertisers who sign up to spread the word about their own websites. I sign into Pay Per Post every day and they always have new advertisers listed who are trying to make a bit of excitement about their own websites. I like IZEA, they have cool websites… sometimes I wish I could design like them! And IZEA have celebrated their birthday recently.

So should you use them to promote your site? Depends on your budget. I think if you have a big budget it’s definitely worth part of it. It also depends on the type of site. I think if you own a site that earns a lot of money per conversion, then it’s a great idea. But if it’s a site that gets $2CPM you’re best off going elsewhere. I think Pay Per Post and Social Spark are two companies that are best for premium advertisers.
